During my internship at KAP Kreston Indonesia, I had the opportunity to gain practical exposure to the professional world of public accounting, particularly in the areas of audit, financial reporting, and accounting services. This experience was highly valuable in enhancing my technical skills, understanding of regulatory standards, and ability to work effectively within a professional team.
One of my primary responsibilities was assisting in preparing and reviewing working papers for financial audits in compliance with PSAK (Pernyataan Standar Akuntansi Keuangan) standards. This task required a high level of attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical skills to ensure that all financial information presented in the audit files was correct, complete, and aligned with applicable accounting principles. By contributing to this process, I developed a deeper understanding of how audit documentation supports the overall assurance provided to clients and stakeholders.
In addition, I was actively involved in performing vouching, data entry, and documentation for client financial statements. This included verifying the authenticity and completeness of supporting documents such as invoices, receipts, bank statements, and contracts. Through this process, I learned the importance of ensuring transparency and accountability in financial reporting. I also improved my ability to work with large volumes of data while maintaining efficiency and accuracy.
