As a PPIC intern, I contributed to improving production scheduling, warehouse layout, inventory management, and health & safety systems:
- Developed MPSr, a Python-based production scheduling application that generates Excel outputs tailored to company standards.
- Proposed layout alternatives for six warehouses using ARC analysis and Blocplan in DOSBox, with adjustments based on actual facility routes and 3D visualizations.
- Simulated delivery note queueing with Monte Carlo simulation to identify and reduce potential bottlenecks.
- Applied fuzzy inventory control to evaluate and enhance raw material purchasing forecasts.
- Conducted HIRADC-based risk analysis with the OHS team, recommended new SOPs to reduce risk likelihood and severity.
- Analyzed the company’s employee health service system and provided suggestions for service optimization.
This internship sharpened my problem-solving, data-driven thinking, and system design skills, strengthening my foundation as an aspiring industrial engineer focused on tactical thinking and efficiency.
