I interned in the Economic Section, which supports the United States’ energy and climate change portfolio in ASEAN. My responsibilities included stakeholder mapping, economic research, and drafting seminar minutes. I produced a one-page report profiling key stakeholders, such as ASEAN ministries and energy officials, based on official ASEAN websites and documents. I also conducted more than 3 qualitative research projects on topics including the ASEAN Digital Economy Framework Agreement and sustainable agriculture. Additionally, I prepared minutes for 3-5 exclusive seminars and diplomatic meetings focused on regulation and regional cooperation. Before drafting each report, I clarified the context with my mentor and compiled relevant supporting documents. I structured the outputs systematically, incorporating background information and future policy considerations. My mentor later presented my report to a U.S. diplomat as input for policy advice.

Local Conference of Youth (LCOY) Indonesia • Organisasi
I served as the chief of committee for the Local Conference of Youth Indonesia, an official UNFCCC youth conference on national climate issues, hosted at the Ministry of Finance’s Environmental Fund Management Agency (BPDLH). I initiated an informal pitch to a BPDLH director to build trust, followed by a formal proposal that secured collaboration in two key areas: venue provision and marketing. I also curated and secured speakers aligned with the audience profile and committee resources, resulting in participation from Bappenas, actress Chelsea Islan, a representative from the Office of the Presidential Staff, and students who expert in sustainable materials. The event, attended by Indonesian youth aged 17–35, achieved measurable impact, participants reported a 50% increase in climate awareness compared to pre-event levels.

I assisted in strategic initiatives and led general affairs within the organization. I developed strategic substance for public discussions on topics such as the blue economy in the Asia Pacific and sustainable financing in Indonesia, selecting themes based on strategic relevance and organizational capacity. In general affairs, I guided the focus of economics issues. I ensured the substantive quality of social media content, including reports and economist summaries that shared with a WhatsApp audience of 50 followers, covering issues in investment, public transportation, and energy policy. Additionally, I spearheaded the recruitment process, overseeing CV screening for 200 applicants and conducting interviews. I designed and delivered green economy problem-solving training for 20 members, enhancing their capacity to engage in sustainability topics. As a result, 45% of members successfully participated in circular economy business simulations.

I have experience as both an editor and a general secretary. As an editor, I authored and ensured the quality of more than 10 in-depth journalism reports on socio-political, economic, and technological issues. I facilitated brainstorming sessions to define topics and methodologies, often applying qualitative approaches from social media analysis and academic sources, and occasionally incorporating primary data from student opinion surveys. As an example of my writing, one of Instagram Reels which is a remake of my writing gained significant traction, reaching over 20,000 likes, 400 comments, and attracting 2,000 new followers. As a general secretary, I streamlined administrative processes across multiple divisions by optimizing the use of Google Suite. This integration ensured nearly 100% of files produced during my term were systematically archived and accessible to subsequent administrators.
